Best Ever Crock Pot Brisket in Tomato Red Wine Sauce

This is one of the most delicious, crowd-pleasing favorite crock pot recipes.

After simmering in the crock pot for 7-8 hours, the brisket pulls apart with a couple of forks.  The tomato red wine sauce provides for a succulent, savory, meat-lovers meal.

Big huge note: Do NOT buy corn beef for this recipe. Buy fresh beef brisket and ask your butcher to trim the fat.

Best Ever Crock Pot Brisket in Tomato Red Wine Sauce

Ingredients

gluten free crockpot brisket
  • 4 -5 lbs brisket, fat trimmed off (not corn beef!)
  • 32 oz bottle ketchup (gf)
  • 1/3 cup dry red wine
  • 1/4 cup dried onion flakes
  • 1/4 cup dried parsley
  • 1 Tbsp granulated beef bouillon (gf)
  • 2 tsp onion powder
  • 1/4 tsp crushed celery seed
  • 1/4 tsp paprika
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper

Directions

  • Place brisket in crockpot.
  • Whisk all of the remaining ingredients together.
  • Pour over brisket.
  • Cook on high for 6-8 hours or on low overnight (12+ hours).
  • To serve, remove brisket from crock pot. Using two forks, pull brisket apart (see picture) and place in serving dish.
  • Pour remaining sauce into a gravy boat and serve. (You can filter the sauce prior to putting it in the gravy boat.)
