That’s right. Ants are gluten free! Who knew?

Seriously. Whether your cooking with kids or with really fun adults, this is a delicious and easy, high protein, low carb, low sugar snack that is always a crowd pleaser.

When looking to make something with children, I have found that making it an adventure, using fun names, textures, colors and shapes go along way with getting buy in for trying new things.

This snack packs a salty, sweet crunch and takes less than 10 minutes to make. Not to mention, it’s an affordable treat on just about any budget.

*Childhood obesity and diabetes are on the rise, while at the same time, there are starving children around the world.

The dichotomy of the two are not insurmountable.

Gluten Free Ants on a Log

Ingredients

ants on a log
  • 4 stalks celery
  • 1/3 cup almond or peanut butter
  • 1/2 cup raisins

Directions

  • Wash celery and cut into 2" logs
  • Spoon in almond or peanut butter
  • Top with ants (raisins)
