Red Cabbage and Apple Vinaigrette Salad

Nothing like a new diet to make you try different things. I definitely found the 14-Day Raw Cleanse more challenging than eating gluten free.

Of course, I’ve been cooking gluten free for over seven years now, so I have a little more practice there.  Just like with anything new, it takes a little bit of education and reshaping of habits to be truly effective.

During one of our raw food prep days, my friend made this tossed salad. It was absolutely delicious and I will be adding it to my repertoire!

  • 3 cups of red cabbage, chopped
  • 3 apples, chopped (I used Gala)
  • 2 carrots, chopped
  • 2 green onions, chopped
  • 1 stalk of celery, chopped
  • 4 Tbsp raw agave syrup
  • 6 Tbsp raw cider vinegar
  • 1/2 tsp cracked black pepper corn
  • salt, to taste
  1. Put all of the veggies in a bowl
  2. Whisk together the agave, vinegar and spices
  3. Toss vinaigrette with veggies
  4. Serve!
